EPL just starting up this weekend... any other football/soccer fans? Any favourite teams/predictions? I'm a Juventus guy (i know, i know), but love watching EPL saturday and Sunday mornings.

Also, loving Giovinco in Toronto - the dude is dominating.

Satisfied with the opening day win for Man U...I'm hoping for a top 3 finish in the EPL this year. I feel pretty confident they can play their way into the Champions League for this year. My early concern is in goal with the drama around De Gea. De Gea was probably their best player last year. Romero can't be a liability.

Ya was looking at their roster... TBH, not a huge fan this year... Dunno if Rooney still has it, as he's really their major attacking focus. Chicharito is meh, no other studs up front. Midfield is solid, but not elite, so will be interesting. And ya, the De Gea business is definitely a concern.

Definitely take City, Chealsea, and Arsenal over them I think. They'll be battling for the last CL spot.

I'm intrigued by the addition of Memphis. They made flashier additions last summer with Falcao and Di Maria and those were busts.

The top 3 can very well be those three you mentioned. Spurs will probably compete for the top 5 along with Man U.

Liverpool fan here

Have to agree with Mike, I see the top 3 as going Chelsea, Citeh and Arsenal, with 4th being a battle between ManU, spurs and Lpool with hopefully the scousers taking that last spot obviously, though their defense scares me on the best of days.. Skrtel, sakho and lovren should be on a mid table team not one that wants to compete in the top 4

Wouldn't mind spurs get 4th too and finally get over that hump, they play a good brand of attacking pacey football.. can't stand United so the further they drop the better, although they are the most capable of taking 4th much as I hate to admit it

So much hype around Cech's arrival and he was rotten. There's going to be several mid-table teams that will pop those top teams if they don't bring their A-game.

^^ agreed shoalzie, if that cech acquisition backfires on wenger he could be looking for work next season.. I know it's still early but that was awful, outside of oxlade Chamberlain, giroud and the brief few minutes for Sanchez nobody else looked willing to step up and change the course of the game.. I seriously can't stand ozil what an incredibly inconsistent player, all the skill in the world with zero intensity

Anybody watch Chelsea getting smoked? What's more hilarious is mourihnos post game comments, heres a couple:

''3-0 is a fake result''
''The best team in the second half was Chelsea''
''It was proven that bringing on Zouma was the correct decision''
''I know that one point from six is better than zero points from six... I also know what 36 multiplied by 3 is... I'm good at Mathematics''.

Bwahahaha the best team was Chelsea but they gave up two in the second half, what a delusional twat

Only been two games, but chels looks like shite, mourinho was the last guy I would have predicted to be fired this early in but looks like his chances are multiplying with every match day
