Confirmed.

More Expensive than I wanted. But happy getting what a view as a very strong backup on a strong team, who with Vasi should put up strong numbers while both in situations where they could conceivably take more games from their respective starters.

Nice trade though. A big chance on a young starter, but cheaper than every other GM was asking for their goalies.

^ I definitely agree that Dubnyk is the guy. But sample sizes are fun.

Pretty fair, thought at first it was just MIN goalies and thought Josh did well to get value out of a desperate Fraser and then noticed Fraser also got Dillon.

Oh, if fraser also got dillon then i think fraser won this...in a way. I'd say im the big loser, cuz this helps the two teams directly in front of me in the division. Fraser with no goaltending and SJS with not much player depth was my only chance at the playoffs. Damn.

Should line up:

LAK
VAN
CGY
SJS
ANA
EDM
ARI

for the division this year, or something close.

I wouldn't say i won this. Fehr and Atkinson are both very strong contributors. Brossoit is a pretty underrated goalie prospect, although Edmonton just buried him by depth adding Talbot and Nilsson this offseason. And Pedan could be a very periph defenseman who's behind a real shallow Canucks D long term, should get an opportunity sooner or later.

In a sense that you had to pay for goaltending or face a penalty I would say you won this by getting a fair deal.

Atkinson for Dillon
Fehr + Broissant + Pedan for MIN goalies + 3rd

Seems like you shouldn't be complaining about it being more expensive than you wanted when you also landed a D for a W which you have been trying to do.

Not complaining. Josh just was able to squeeze a lot more value out of me than I originally came to the table with.

Ultimately i think this is pretty fair. Which yes given the current market and some of the asks around here, I suppose that could be considered a win.

Losing Dillon hurts but if Fehr actually plays C in PIT then I'm happy to shore up my centers. Atkinson is perpetually underrated IMO.

Guess at this point I'm rooting for Duby to be the real deal so I don't regret this. Came together quickly though, pretty easy talks.

Fraser doesnt get Devan Dubnyk or Kaapo Kahkonen (the goalie hf has as Minny's top goalie prospect and the likely starter for finland at next yrs wjc) or steska (2nd best on hf). This is basically Kuemper, michalek, and gustafson - of which kuemper is the only one with any real value at this point. Backstrom and Harding are pretty much done.

But he gets a really solid D-Man to go with Kuemper.

Its really just Keumper, Michalek and a bunch of complete shots in the dark. I highly highly doubt it but I suppose there could be a Harding comeback attempt, worth keeping in the minors for.

Personally I think you are underrating Reilly considerably if you don't see him as a lock. Yea new player to the NHL, but he has a very NHL ready game from what I've seen.
