What brand would you go with in the mid range SUV's? I own Dodge Jouney atm and i will never own a dodge product till the day im off this earth. I am very interested in Santa Fe or Kia sorento. Must be AWD and 6 cyl for that extra towing power. Any opinions or experiences?

Re: SUV
Avoid Hyundai and Kia at all costs. They are decent cars/SUVs but their maintenance costs are through the roof.
We pay 100 bucks for an Oil change in the wife's Hyundai Elantra. I pay 50 bucks for an Oil change for 8L of synthetic oil to GMC.
If i was buying a SUV it would be a Toyota Rav4. The in-laws have 2 of them - great vehicles.

I have heard good things about this years Mitsubishi Outlander. A couple people I know bought one this year.
Re: SUV
you are going to the wrong place for oil changes...lol. Swiftys charges 54 dollars taxes in for a 3.5 litre engine. Legally, you do not do anything to your vehicle warranty by getting oil changes done outside of dealer.
Re: SUV
Lol wtf @ steve
Mines a performance synthetic for a civic Si and it's 50 lol. I don't feel bad for u since u guys pay like 800 a yr for insurance vs my 3000 lol
Ya go get urself a caddy escalade. Best performance money can buy

Re: SUV
dont you remember, i had one, and yes the service cost was pricy, but at least it was a luxury car. Unlike our Hyundia.CAM wroteCOLONYou want to talk about service costs...lol go get an Audi.
Re: SUV
The hyundai has improved quite a bit over the years. I am still focused on the Kia sorento. I have driven it. Buddy of mine hauls lobster with his and it has tons of power and very reliable. he has 140k on his 2011.
Re: SUV
my dodge is only fwd and with the 400 ft driveway and amounts of snow we have been having i need an awd vehicle.

Parents have Q5 and A4. My Dad's A4 is a few years old and his last scheduled service was like $1200

Re: SUV
I had a heater core blow in my A6 a few years ago. In a Ford or GMC that's a 90 dollar part and 100 bucks worth of labour. In the Audi it was like $1800 and took 2 weeks to fix haha.Bruyns wroteCOLONParents have Q5 and A4. My Dad's A4 is a few years old and his last scheduled service was like $1200
