More interested in your newbies or fringe guys who you think could/should make the jump this year.
For me, curious to see if Dumoulin, Elliott or Slavin make the jump. Would really provide some depth for my D line. Also if Ryan Wilson can make the CGY blue line that would be awesome - seems like a solid player just injuries have clearly gotten the better of him.
Who you guys rooting for?

Strong chance that Guhle makes the Sabers after just being drafted. Miele and JAM on one ways. Other that that some of my waiver guys like Vatrano, Czarnik and Nakladal.

Leon Draisaitl - solid preseason, could start out on the wing this year
Jarred Tinordi - likely press box due to waiver eligibility. if not, some crap team picks him up off of waivers
Chandler Stephenson - shot at making the Caps for a bit until Backstrom is healthy
Scott Wilson - shot at making the Pens due to Fehr injury. Likely a call up or two when injuries hit
Dylan Demelo - chance at making the Sharks as the 7th defenceman
Colin Miller - heard he's been great in preseason but likely starts in the AHL

Justin Baun has had a solid preseason for the hawks

Lander with 3G tonight and 6 points in 4GP. I expect him to eventually overtake McDavid for the 2C role on route to a 20G 50pt season.
On a serious note I think Horvat and Zadorov have break out seasons. Mackinnon and Kane I'm expecting big bounce back years, they are born in 91 and 95 seems like they both are a year or two older.
I have a handful of prospects that will almost assuredly see NHL time but not expecting a big impact other than maybe from Nurse if he spends time with the Oilers. Kalinin I'm hoping is a pleasant surprise and plays 4th line for the Devils.

Strome playing with Tavares. Monster season.
Oshie playing with Ovi + Backstrom. Monster season.
Tyler Myers. Predicting an elite level breakout season.

Newbies
A. Petrovic, D, FLR - hopefully his end of season audition locked a spot in this year. Kid will be a monster for BBKL peripheral stats. Not a pp type of D man really, but could poach a bit of 2nd unit time
P. Nemeth, D, DAL - missed last year with an injury, while entering into it with expectations of anchoring a top6 spot. DAL's DM loves the kid. He'll be another peripheral beast. No pp time at all.
Fringe
J. Schroeder, C, MIN - played well down the stretch with MIN. Then they got C. Stewart, and his icetime disappeared. He put up solid advanced stats and possession. Could break it as a 3rd/4th line winger this year. PKs too, and has +++ speed
B. Rust, W, PIT - plucky player playing pits' plugging possession game. hoping 4thn line, has a decent shot. Will get NHL games this year, should PK too.
Craig Cunningham C/w ARI - next drew miller, but cut from ARI. Should be up, PK'ing and all that some time this year.
D. Schlemko D, NJD. Great advanced stats, signed by NJD in offseason cheap. Good opportunity hear to be a steadying force with all the young D. At least 7th D man.
C.Goloubef, D, CLB. Is this the year he makes his way and becomes full time, former first rounder. Needs to put a string of very solid games together. Played well down the stretch last year.

haha figured it would spur some trade talks.
Also thinking Trocheck takes a big step this year. And if Fast can get top 6 mins in NYR (top 9 very least)... who knows what could happen.

Lewis is an excellent h2h player, i'd expect similar stats to last year with maybe 5-10 more points.
I think your best breakout candidate will be Andrew Shaw
