well, a probable future NHL starter is obviously worth more than a two yrs away late 1st, so I'd expect someone to offer something better than that.

uhm. All the current starting goalies with long term contracts say 'hi'. Goalies are voodoo and a hot prospect in net one minute, does not at ALL guarantee a 'Future NHL starter'. AT all.

Sure he had a good year in the NCAA, but lots of guys do and never amount to anything in the NHL. Brad Thiesson comes to mind.

When Tuukka Rask moves on and Subban is traded there may be a chance thats he gets a few games. When the previous happens, there will probably be other future NHL starters in the system challenging him.
