If he's actually offering Chara. And you are actually declining. This is absolute madness. Like im in Hutton's corner as much as anyone. Been tracking him a long time and always knew he had NHL potential, but he doesn't have the upside at all to return a player like that even despite the age gap. Escpeially in our format, Hutton will never be a huge periph guy, you should take that and run and hope to flip Chara at the deadline.

The offseason is the worst time to try and move older players too. Its when everyone has failed and wants to get younger and cheaper. Then the season gets underway and everyone remembers that stats matter again.

Its about flipping that pancake and taking good deal when you get offered one despite your needs. How you really add value to your roster. But yea I get it.
