Re: GWT: Week 3
Week 4 is what we are waiting for.......Kimmy Vs Billy.......I got players for rent! Who everyone got?
Re: GWT: Week 3
W/Nesterov suspension into consideration: CHI(+1), NSH(-1), STL(+1) & WPG(-4). that's a pretty tough week however basically even GP is a nice new thing
I really like the look of Luke's team, Shep's is kinda rebuilding, but both Shiv & Mik have awesome lineups that should be tough to take matchups from.

Re: GWT: Week 3
Liberal Majority is bloody surprising. Has to be the greatest vote of 18-24s in history.
Re: GWT: Week 3
Hell I'm 31 and voting for the first time.

Re: GWT: Week 3
I didn't pay attention at all. I had a feeling everyone was tired of Harper though
Re: GWT: Week 3
That was my case. I more voted against Harper than for Trudeau. I don't consider myself part of the big 3.
Re: GWT: Week 3
I'm an NDP supporter who, not too begrudgingly, voted Liberal. Not super pleased about a majority, but we'll see if Trudeau will keep his promises now that he doesn't need to play nice with the opposition. We need election reform first and foremost. Ranked ballots....
Re: GWT: Week 3
ugh, what's wrong with fantrax
Re: GWT: Week 3
Been away from the heart of political discussion for a while. I've thought we've needed a reform for a while. What have tge liberals promised? Always wanted to see a more proportional representation system
Re: GWT: Week 3
Over 80% of Canada voted for one of the two free-enterprise parties. I'm happy about that.
Red & Blue both seem to have a good understanding of tax structures that actually work, and historically the Liberals campaign to the left but manage in the middle (exception being Papa Trudeau in part leading to 20+% interest rates, FML) but if they pull a Martin approach a la '90's we are likely in a safe enough spot to do well through that. There is enough bench strength for the grit's that they should be able to form a logical gov. I do worry about keeping spending in check and following up on commitments - there's a balance there I understandx
First pass the poll or a rank voting system both have problems ditto with a single transferable vote... all have their problems. Fist pass the poll is about everyone's first say being worth the same, that being who do you support as your MP intowards forming Gov/PM...IMO it's awesome that we have a parliamentary system that allows for more than two parties, and for minority governments.FPTP is the most democratic. We elect by riding, gives power to the votes as every riding has diff wants/needs. Rep gets more votes then others.
Dislike that Vancouver Island remained in the stone ages and represents like 1/2 of the orange seats - quality of candidates is *ahem* low. I have my doubts about the ability to attract worthwhile projects & raise issues in a manner to see them resolved.

Re: GWT: Week 3
Also interesting that 39% forms this majority again. Roughly same % as last election.
