Will try to make a deal today before roster lock to cut at least 1.8M, Dats is the prime candidate to be moved.
(if he is the one to go I'd like to cut more than 2M obviously)

Doesn't work. Too much value being given up + cap difference (5.6M).

problem is, with Iginla I only cut 2M (which means only dressing one of the trio) without the chance to cut more later on, considering he is basically untradable

It's a solid fair deal. Dats is 7.5M at 37 years of age. It's Dats so you know you have a buyer in me but the market won't offer as much IMO.
But shop around, maybe you find a taker?
