Is this poll in terms of value, or who I'd rather own if we were going into the playoffs today. Cuz those have different answers.

I wonder if Trocheck starts winning the poll if the thread will be closed sorry Mik had to....

Agreed, Larkin for me too, but it's close. Trocheck having a better BBKL this year for sure.

Larkin is rookie and 19 remember that

Larkin is hitting the rookie wall...hasn't played this many games in a season before. You still have to like his long term potential but Trocheck has really been good though. Larkin's best will eventually eclipse Trocheck's best. With the strength at center for Florida...is Trocheck going to play above Barkov or Bjugstad? Maybe he moves to the wing and play in the top 6.

Larkin on the other hand will eventually be the Wings' #1 center. There will be a point when Hank and Pavel's ice time is decreased for the sake of preserving them. He's starting to play center more now that Hank and Pavel are on a line together again. Larkin has been 2nd line center. He played with Tatar and Abdelkader last night.

And wasn't aware of Larkin being groomed as a centreman. That really diminishes Trocheck's long-term value from a centre vs wing perspective. Should still get more peripherals but be likely 10-25 pts less per season I would assume. I don't think they'll move him to W though. Continue with 3 strong C's as long as trocheck signs a reasonable extension or look to move one of them IMO... especially with Trocheck outplaying Bjugstad this year and Bjugstad's and Barkov's injuries that seem to happen way too often.

Still, I do love me some Trocheck.

Ya he easily has the edge this year... but long-term, probably place it on Larkin's shoulders but only time will tell (especially if he transitions to C).

If it wasnt a troll i was going to guess dave.

All makes sense now.

Larkin has superstar potential, Trocheck will be a solid middle of the lineup player. Larkin is also a teenager and one of the top scorers on a strong Det roster.

Like I said, I just looked at numbers.
