Nino is officially off the block after all these crazy offers that I just dont felt it worked and then this ended it when I mentioned Lee's first rounder and he responded with this:
Lee says:
i wouldnt trade my first for nino , howden and tinordi
Maybe I am an idiot but if anyone ever offered those 3 for my first round pick I will jump at that joke or not that officially ends the Nino sweepstakes.

LOL.
Lee even if your pick is 1st overall...
it's first overall in a draft year that lacks top end talent... and its a risk, and a longer wait, &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
that pick is not worth #5 + #22 + #25...once again, in a superior draft year ( a year that had top end talent but lacked real depth).

your crazy lee, but to be fair imo 2010 lacked top end talent, but had real good depth. i think you got it reversed nick.
imo 2009+2008 had much more top end talent.

Larsson is the best prospect to come out of Sweden.
Ever.
This isn't me saying that. That is the best hockey minds in the world saying it. Refute it if you want, you are simply guys on a hockey forum.

You're damn right you'd jump on it for your pick. Your pick isn't the favourite for Adam Larsson.

I disagree entirely... 2009 & 2010 were not solid drafts, but the first 8-ish & 20-ish picks were regarded as high-end... 2008 was a good draft all around definitely a case were an outstanding defence-man year hid some gem's on offence.
Now, none of those are 2003
or the 83 NFL draft (which is also a very good NHL year btw).
Who is saying that Kezia? I believe the Swedes were the first to blow the whistle regarding a complete lack of talent in the 92 birth-year. Europe was (is always) very early in identifying weak draft classes.

Like the last few first overall picks.
Like Tavares, who is following the path of Stamkos
Like Stamkos, who had 50 goals as a 19 year old.
Like Patrick Kane who just won a Stanley Cup.
I guess I need to keep going about the elite level of talent drafted at first over all. I know... That one guy who was drafted a decade ago. Larsson is the best prospect to ever come out of Sweden.

You've been out to lunch on SOOOOOO many things that you've said dude.
His potential is not that of Hedman, who was the best Euro in what was/is referred to as the best swedish group ever:
Hedman
OEL
MSP
Rundblad
Josefson
Erixon
Johansson
Klingberg
Silfverberg
Lander
Lehner
Rodin
All top 60.
Mats Sundin & Victor Hedman are 100% the most touted swede prospects ever, and it makes sense: 6'6", committed, complete, skilled hockey players.

Hedman has been average at best.

there is very little to compare JT to Stamkos aside from the #'s, their games are very different, and despite similar totals, their rookie seasons were very different. JT looked NHL ready/dominant for stretches, and completely out to lunch for stretches (34 game goal-less draught? 20 game pointless?) and very very good play aside from that, whereas stamkos was consistently okay as a rookie... and I didn't see ANYONE call his break out to this level.
I'm not sure what your trying to say... no doubt Larsson is a top end prospect, but ... not best prospect ever

Stamkos was not consistently OK in his rookie season. He was consistently horrible for the first half of the season.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.
I'm not even a Hedman fan, but... I LOVE people that close the book on prospect after an okay rookie season.... by your logic Lee, I guess TBL should have traded Stamkos after his first average rookie season.
OR
Judge them by watching the players, understanding their age and transitions they're going through, and exactly HOW shitty their teams where.
IMO: Stamkos, Hedman, JT, Kane, Kane, Bogo, would all easily go #1 in the 2011 draft.
Hell, IMO Larsson isn't even the best d-man prospect in the 2011 class, Ryan Murphy is my favourite
The best-western prospect IMO is Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and he's got amazing playmaking. I watched him live in one-game, and have questions about his game. But the pre-season reports seem to say this is the year of the "Q", which I rarely watch (only the mem-final team(s)), however I did manage to see Sean Couturier mid-season (vs CB-SE) and at his second last game of the year, some love him I know. But they love him like a Jordan Staal, not an Eric Staal... IMO the highest potential north american is Seth Ambroz.
Stamkos was a very good goal scorer after the all-star break, we all know that... but his play was still all-over the map.

I'm extremely high on Adam Larsson, and would not deal the potential to acquire him for that package either. I've seen him play about 15-20 games for Skelleftea last season, he's the real deal boys. Not only did he dominate the SEL as a 16 year old, he took away ice time from David Rundblad and Tim Erixon, two high end prospects that are two years older than him. He also broke the scoring record for a 16 year old defenceman, previously held by Victor Hedman.
That said, it is idiotic to claim he is the best defenceman to come out of Sweden, and I guarantee no scout, nevermind "all of the scouts" (like Kezia claims) have said this publically. Sweden is one of the top hockey markets, and have given us such prospects as: Peter Forsberg, Borje Salming, Nicklas Lidstrom, and Mats Sundin among others.

Please tell me where I closed the book on him? I said that he has has been average at best. Is that a lie. There was nothing that stood out about his game last year. But hey, after that, you continued to jump to illogical, fallible conclusions. I never suggested that the Bolts trade Hedman or Stamkos.
The rest of it is opinion, which I'm not going to bother to address.

ye no doubting Larsson just had an AMAZING pre-draft-year year. But Hedman is the most touted Swede since the Sundin/Foppa/Nassy era.

i'll be (positively) surprised if one of Hedman and Larsson ends up better than OEL.
Very possible of course, but OEL is the one providing the best top level guarantees at this point imo.
