I don't think he has done enough in his career to warrant a 1st round pick. He is older than Eric Gelinas and has less of a resume.

Has gelinas ever been a top 45 BBKL dman? Despres was the year before this year in his first full season. He was injured this year. Is gelinas even a full time nhl player anymore?

I like Despres, his contract makes him not as amazing for value, but he is easily worth 3.7 in BBKL when playing.
