NHL Centers Wanted

Low on NHL centers to start the season and need to make a few moves to get my roster in order.
I have waiver pick 35, some entry draft picks and a small surplus of wingers and prospects. (Google Doc in signature)
Wingers I would move for the right price include:
Sven Baertschi
Jesper Fast
Michael Grabner
Jannik Hansen
Rick Nash
Joel Ward
Derek Dorsett
Garrett Wilson
Ideally looking to build for the future so generally looking for cheaper options at center for now

If Tanner Kero makes the Hawks he will be available.

O'Reilly for a 5th, got into 20 games last year and is likely one of the first call ups.

I'm kinda worried he would get called up as a winger if anything. Really needing to get GP at that position atm, even if they aren't super quality games.

20 games for a 5th round pick would be a very solid trade regardless of position.

Except oreilly is waiver eligible so once he brings him up he will lose him to waivers when sending him down. I'd think it would almost be good for Matt to move him for free just to open up a contract space.

Haven't looked at NJ's roster, but doubt there is much NHL depth there. Even so, who is going to waste a claim on an AHL and put them on their NHL roster? And if Matt wanted to open a contract for free he could just drop him lol!

Just trying to help, now that I think about it O'Reilly likely ends up on waivers to start the year on my team anyways so he will be available for free. I lost Taylor Chorney on waivers to start the year last season and he ended up playing 55 games. Likely be a few fringe NHLers who can help a team again this year.

I definitely appreciate the help trying to get my roster in order. It's been tough to get much in the way of progress so far.

There are teams out there that are short on NHLers. Any player those teams think will get some games this season should be worth spending a late pick on rather than fighting over waiver claims.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk. But this is what I figured. No reason for new guy told give up assets when he can likely get this level of player for free in a week.

Again, there is something to be said for assuring you get a guy rather than fighting for waiver claims. Plus 2 > 1.

That's a by-product of teams being able to dress 5Cs so competitive teams who have 5 don't want to move, one myself included and it leaves other teams short on Cs and inflates their value.
