I want to clarify why I bumped this, I have no doubt that Matthew is operating on Fraser's behalf and that Fraser is fine with it. I only think its an issue that a pick that many (myself included to be transparent) were interested in trading for, was traded without any sort of notification that a trade was possible. To post in the thread that the pick had been dropped- a fact which both Billy and I said was silly considering our interest in trading for it, and then to later trade it on behalf of Fraser seems shady to me. Either drop the pick as the draft thread stipulated, or open up the trading process to everyone.

Yeah, picks should not be dropped if there are interested parties. It should go to auction.

Sorry, guys. Chuck PM'ed me early while I was fairly busy at work asking if I had contact with fraser could ihe just give him a pick and that I would post with him. I asked fraser. Fraser said yes. I told him to post. I didn't think anything about doing an auction as I didn't think anyone would care given its a late pick and given fraser said it was okay (alas not vacant gm).

If people don't mind Chuck keeping the pick that's okay, or if people want to auction that's okay. I don't know how to settle this. Again, I apologize.

The pick got dropped and I was faster than the rest of you. Boohoo. If you wanted the pick you should have made an offer like I did.

If the pick was dropped then it should be dropped, I had sent PM's to Fraser that apparently were ignored, I did not realize that I needed to vet offers through Matthew to get to Fraser, and again it feels kind of like a shitty precedent to set especially involving CC members talking with one another while non CC members are not involved. It's ultimately not a huge deal but doesn't feel like it was a fair playing field for the pick.

Just to be clear, Chuck and I never speak in cc or pm. This was just him messaging me in pm about a pick.

I'm not actually accusing you of any wrong doing Matthew, again it just feels like the best approach is to drop the pick if its announced in the draft the pick is dropped. Not being transparent about the ability to still trade for it, and allowing the trade to go through is the issue. If there was no mention in the draft thread of the pick being dropped its a completely different story, but the announcement was made by a CC member- to then go back and accept a trade offer after the fact is not the best practice in this case. Anyways I'll drop it seeing as I'm the only one who cares about this apparently.

I saw Matthew was speaking on behalf of Fraser so I used my brain and pm'd Matthew had contact with Fraser and if I could offer him a pick for the waiver.
