Imo you definitely should have taken grauber as he is young with great stats and high end starter potential, while his other expansion eligible pieces aren't that great. Good goalies are valuable.

Hong has quite a few nice pieces and we will have limits on max goalies that can be taken which reminds me I don't think we have made those limits official yet for all to know.

Also if Grubauer ends up on Vegas his great stats are going to become shitty stats.

Goalies are actually one of the positions it looks like I'll have the easiest time finding guys. Who knows how Grubauer will do with more time or not behind a stacked WSH team. Meanwhile I still have options such a Hjalmarsson, Ferland, and Armia.

I probably would have just taken Grubauer. That said, why would we put a limit on how many goalies he can take when we are following NHL rules and there is a built in goalie limit?

I wouldn't have room on my roster for any more than 5 goalies.

He wouldn't be able to take 10 goalies via NHL rules anyway. That and the majority of the goalies he would be taking would likely be waiver eligible anyway. Regardless, this is something that should have been announced well before you know a few weeks before the expansion draft. Inherently puts members of the CC at an advantage with how slowly information has come out.
