Since PIT mike lucked out and got a 1st overall anyhow
I offer to give up my 2017 2nd MIN as my GP punishment instead of 2017 1st MIN
Only fair since you don't wanna make my poor team poorer and the team who already has 1st overall richer

The GP threshold isn't falling by 200 real games, it excludes playoffs now so it should pretty much be the same.

I thought punishment was a 2nd+3rd before but I'm not sure entirely

I just lost jumping from 10th to 3rd in the draft which I'm sure is worth more than a 30th overall pick, and I missed gp by only 6 games. And I'm 100% okay with it. Those are the rules. You knew the rules. Next year, I hope both of us won't miss gp.
