Are you seriously suggesting you prefer 10+Greenway to this package? If you do I dunno what to say to you. If you don't and you feel like Will didn't pay enough, then you should've put together a better offer. Could have had Backstrom, Barkov, and Wennberg as your top 3 centers.

I'd take Nicky B over parayko easily and it's not even close. I've got a pipeline full of studs just waiting so figured it was time to put it to use.

People focus WAY too much on age here. Backstrom is one year younger than I am. I don't even consider that old.
Backstrom has the play style, shape, and ability to be elite well into his early 40's... and he's been one of the healthiest near PPG centermen in the last decade of NHL play... guys in tip top shape annually, a 6'2" 220 lbs of muscle of a monster and brings his A game every shift. His endurance and perseverance is basically Jagr-like

I never said I prefer my offer to Will's. I said I dunno what my offer has to do with me saying I prefer Will's side. I didn't want Backstrom that badly is the reason I didn't try and beat his offer as I'm still a few years from being able to compete.

This is true. You could be a solid playoff team next year and still have the deepest or 2nd deepest ( cuz u never know with miks players, his 5th rounders become #1 centers) prospects in the league.

I'm not sure how is can make this any more clear. If you prefer the value on that side, why would you not top it? Especially as a rebuilder why would you pass on gaining value?
