These are practically 30th overall picks, and one is a year away. It's likely only 1 becomes an NHLer and I'd say it's unlikely either are as good as kapanen. I prefer this for Mike. If kapanen does decent next season I suspect he will be able to flip him for a better return.

Josh prob just has someone he really likes on the board, which is fine too.

Odds are in his favor that both develop into NHL players. Whether or not the two combined turn out to be as good as Kapanen is another story entirely. That said, I'm not entirely sure what kind of NHL player Kapanen will be.

What i dont understand is how a prospect is worth more than perceived just because they have near ppg in AHL nowadays.

Two later 1sts and (maybe) a fringe prospect...seems like mid-1st round value. I guess it all depends on you how rate Kapanen.
