Confirmed

Thanks Chuck. I can check (or white-out) #3 off my list. Maybe do a tweak on defense and perhaps add a PK winger if necessary.

My expectations for Okposo...20 goals and 45-50 points. Gave up a couple former 1st rounders. Bowers is the most valuable of the two but I'm also stronger down the middle so I can work on rebuilding the prospect pool through the draft.

All that for Kyle Okposo? Must be really confident he reaches that 50 point plateau and stays healthy.

Even if he doesn't it's still not even that expensive for a top 6 W.

Imo, This is a good price on okposo. It's essentially pontus aberg who hasn't done much at the NHL level yet and a 28th overall pick (bowers) for okposo.

I highly doubt the other 2 pieces ever make much noise at the NHL level.

Solid pickup, Scott. Also, stop it.

I'd argue Bowers is a good piece too, Barber who knows whats going on with him

I like Bowers and don't think you can give up on Tufte yet.

I'm biased but if you wanted 20G and 40+ pts Williams is a tiny fraction of this cost. It's been fun watching Scott's offseason though, hope he has a good season since he is spending lots of assets to improve and it's good to see a GM want to improve instead of get worse and add picks/prospects.

I really don't get player values in this league yet....

it's very variable.

He's 30...not old but not young. Still quite productive...plenty of PP points and can get me a hit per game. He fits the mold of what I'm looking for.

It's a proven NHLer for a bunch of what-ifs. Bowers looks like he could be high end but other than that the rest have a low chance of making the NHL, let alone being productive in the NHL.

Outside of like top 3 picks and rarely individual-based on personal research (some luck like a 3rd-7th rd prospect makin stud nhler), or some league wide consensus that says this prospect is a sure fire lock (ex. Clayton Keller), most other prospects (even taken somewhere in 1st rd) is a what-ifs until proven otherwise at their respective minor leagues. Thats the assumption involved in this.

Nobodys recognized bowers or aberg as the sure thing and reaspnably so. So for even now, theyre projects at the nhl level. Okposo is a proven 60-70 pt scorer in the past

Really it is. It all depends on the approach of the GM (are they competing or rebuilding?) and the relative value of the player to the GM. Not everyone values players the exact same way.

As I said...we don't have a free agent element so the only way to add in this league is to make trades. Players, prospects and picks...that's the currency.

Okposo gets this and Marleau can't return shit... I don't want to live on this planet anymore. I give up.

Okposo is only 30. Nearly a decade of difference in age will do that...

And half the skill... even now. But whatever.

Marleau is a .72 ppg player for his career. Okposo is .68 ppg player. Half the player I think is quite the stretch.

What are you asking for? Maybe it's too much?
I'm sure there would be interest in Marleau..
