Before I talked to Casper about Hutton...I was sniffing around Grubauer for sure. I figured my 1st rounder was the start of what it would cost. I obviously opted to go another way with my pick.

Cliff has a lot of good young players and prospects so having a younger goalie like Grubauer is a good idea. If he succeeds in Colorado, he'll have a gig for a long time.

So much. Better hope grub doesnt flame out before proving himself a starter.

I mean...Chlapik his one of Ottawa's top specs. I'd say you paid more for Grubauer than Shoalzie paid me for Hutton. Granted Grubauer is younger with good upside, but Hutton actually is a starter while Colorado figures to be a straight timeshare. There is a fair amount of risk on your side.
