Tyler Johnson on the block

C still young (same age as Marchessault) signed long term to a good contract, the 5M cap hit will look cheaper and cheaper as the cap keeps growing...
currently playing with Kucherov and Point..
13 goals, 23 pts in 32 games so far, 01:00 SHTOI per game on average.
Would move him to save some cap as I have other cheaper options for the center position in the minors. Which means I don't need a C coming back (although definitely open to that).
An example of a trade that would work: I offered TJ straight for DeBrusk (waiver exempt)

TJ + 2nd for Jesper Bratt (better than DeBrusk)
never been a fan of Jesper Bratt sorry, no interest there.
Aside from that (and from the weird add on my side lol), that's an easy type of deal I could see going down for a player I like.
Also open to a bigger deal with Johnson involved, though.

Don't downplay Bratt and up-play TJ.....your guy is older, 4+mil more and averages less PPG. He isn't playing C, isn't PKing and isn't producing.
TJ is laterally a salary dump at-this-point. Typical Mik, selling low but looking for top dollar.

I barely said I'm not a fan of Bratt, thought I was entitled to my opinion... but since you try to spin it, let's call him for what he apparently is right now: bloody overrated.
TJ is obviously a solid, proven piece instead, and on a good contract.
Now that you mention he's not playing C right now, I think I should just keep him hoping for that to continue, having him as a winger would be awesome.

was just trolling, my apologies
I shouldn't do that at Christmas season. I'm a big TJ fan actually (but like him less than bratt - probably around a 2nd in value less)

Marchessault for Johnson + 2019 1st DET
Marchessault for Johnson + 2020 1st VEG
Marchessault for Johnson + 2019 1st NSH + 2019 2nd WSH + 2020 2nd WPG
one of those

not interested in losing a potential lottery pick only to make a positional swap (same production, same age, different position... for now)
