GWT 15 - HomeStretch

2/3rds of the season gone, and this year things are closer than in the past.

12/15 teams in the west and 14/16 teams in the East could potentially still make the playoffs.

Jets and Sharks chasing down vegas for 8th in the west.

The islanders and bruins are in 9th and 10 in the east within striking distance of 7th and 8th Florida and Pittsburgh.

minnesota and nashville currently separated by just 1 point for 1st in the Central.

toronto surprisingly still 3rd in the Atlantic behind both buffalo and tampa.

Lak running away with the league at this point.

Arz/chi/stl fairly close for last in the league. Separated by only 29 points. However, stl and chi in tough to make skater gp.

Here's the schedule for the week:

Goodluck, GMs.

Congrats to Paul Kim on his Engagement.

Injuries aside, CHI is projected to hit skater gp just fine.

I think Chicago is currently just below the pace of skater gp?

How is it that you calculate the pace? Our regular season goes until March 3rd, right?

I just did quick and dirty, so I could be off. It shouldn't be that far off unless the last 7 weeks have a lot more gp per opponent than the first 14.

13 weeks x 4 opponents = 52
1 week x 2 opponents = 2

54 matchups/82 matchups = 65.8% of our season over

544 skater gp/850 skater gp needed = 64% gp needed so far

So according to my calculations you are 1.8% behind the pace, albeit this number probably has pretty big error.

It's hard to calculate it since all the remaining weeks aren't equal (in terms of the NHL schedule). I think we have 6 weeks left including this upcoming week.

Anyone under 550 games is going to have to average 50+ games a week to get to 850.

I'm in the 600+ club where if you're getting 40-45 games a week, you should be fine.

Steve and Mik are already at 742 and they'll probably get to 850 in the next two weeks.

850 is a pitiful number to reach. Anyone that misses should be ashamed of themselves.

43.7

He has 7 weeks and 306gp to do

306/7 = 43.7gp/week, not including goalie gp.

And more like 45 for stl.

Well I got 40 last week and that was with 6 players throwing up 0.

Pretty sure Ladd is dead and DD is continuously broken. The injuries to Dickinson and J. Staal have really hurt my GP though. It will be a tight finish, but I should clear. Just need a few injuries to the MTL blueline so Schlemko and Ouelett can play.

45 is correct for me. The last 4 full weeks I've averaged 49, so barring anymore casualties, I'll be tight, but I think I get there
