Why is nhl Anaheim so bad? Aren't they supposed to have one of the better defences and better goalies in the nhl?

My bbkl ahl team would beat my shitty nhl team. I currently have the league leader is points (carr), league leader in goals (L'esperance), top 2 league leaders in rookie point scoring (batherson, l'esperance).

It's depressing.
