Faulk at the same age was a better player. Most players follow the same projection. Faulk is a top 2 or 3 dman and 26 years old. The league won't always be top heavy, but when you have guys like Mik who are fleecing new GMs by demanding 18 first round picks for Scott Darling and calling him a vezina candidate and the trade goes through, nothing is really going to change. We are getting way off track here, because I don't think the difference in value between Faulk and Dermott is the same as Darling and what his return got. There is always room for debate, but personally I think most of the players I listed above are good deals for the guy getting Faulk.
