Team of the Week:
As great things continue to happen in GM Paul's life (he was married last week to his beauty bride while looking extra dapper himself), his BBKL fortunes seem to be following suit. Carolina currently sits comfortably in 3rd place in the Metro and 5th in the Eastern conference. most impressive is his team has managed to achieve this while his goaltending has put up an .828 sv % and 5+ GAA. Sutter, Armia, Jost, Brad Hunt?? and Donskoi have stepped up to supplement the the hurricanes main scoring threats of Marchessault, Tatar and Schultz.
This week Carolina has some key opponents to overcome (for different reasons). New Jersey and Pittsburgh are directly behind Carolina in the Metro so those need to be kept at least close, and Paul probably hopes to pick up some easy points against a struggling Islanders squad. Most importantly he's facing Steve and the Kings, and one can expect Paul would love to finally shed the "minor league squad" slur used against him (although his current rank has probably put some of that talk to rest.

Car vs NYI
Car vs LAK
Matches of the week:
Dallas vs LAK: Divisional leaders in the West face-off.
NJD vs Tampa: 7th and 8th place teams in the East wild card race playing the shuffle.
note: bad news for teams of the metro looking to make up some ground as division leader Philly will be facing the 29th, 28th, 27th, and 23rd overall teams this week.
