You’d have to be crazy to turn down the deal though which is why I accepted. There was no plan to trade Eichel at all. The offer was too good.

Pretty easy for both of us to make. Kucherov > eichel and Domi >> Connolly (ainec) + I pick up a 2nd round pick lmao. The only advantage for Steve is the locked in contracts which he needs

I'd say Eichel is better than Kuch. But I agree with the rest of Kyle's assessment.

Kucherov just put up seasons of what. 104 and 128 points and is pacing for about 97 this year after a slow start. I understand Eichel is having a fabulous season, but the only thing that makes him more valuable to you is the fact that he’s a legit 1C and is 23 or so

I believe it's decently fair, but I'd definitely agree that eichel holds more value than kucherov (both are great pieces tho), But domi+2nd>>connolly

I’d agree with you here Matthew. Eichel surely is the most valuable piece in the deal. Mostly because he’s only 22/23 and a centreman. Kucherov is a few years older but clearly the more gifted offensive player. He just happens to be a winger unfortunately. Willing to lose a little value there without losing any offensive production as I recapture that lost value and more with Domi + 2nd for Connolly

We all see this differently.

I would not pay Domi + 2nd for Connolly.

Eichel has better stats across the board and is worth more than a 2nd round pick to get kuch.

Therefore;

Eichel > kuch + 2nd
Connolly < Domi

Connolly and Domi stat line is almost identical.

That's how I valued the deal, and the overall value of each player. I also value Connollys locked in contract. Domi is most likely getting close to 7mil this offseason.
