Hawks Pre-Draft Block
Hawks Pre-Draft Block
Both 1st round picks in play for trade scenarios where I get more draft picks and/or young roster players with top six/top 4 upside.

Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
What numbers are the picks?
Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
Currently 4 and 23
Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
I assume many will have interest in those picks.
Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
How quickly things can change around here... baring a jaw-dropping offer, the 3rd overall pick is off the table. Happy to talk pick 23 for roster players under the age of 30 as well as a multiple asset trade down scenario. Not looking for anything past round 3.
Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
Did it really though? I don't think there is much difference between the 3rd and 4th best player in this draft.
Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
I certainly need a Stutzel more than a Drysdale.

I’d have to agree hereDa_Hawks wroteCOLONI certainly need a Stutzel more than a Drysdale.

Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
No, but neither are top 5 picks in this draft.Matthew wroteCOLONSanderson>Drysdale?
Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
They are if you need a dman. Just like Kotkanieni wasn't worth the draft slot he was taken in, but a C was needed.
Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
That's not how it works. Regardless of if you need a dman they aren't top 5 picks in the draft. You don't reach for need when there are superior prospects on the board.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONThey are if you need a dman. And that's how those GM's get fired in real life too. Negligible difference in value is one thing to draft for need, but not with a top 5 pick or any 1sr round pick for that matter when 2 players aren't even in the same tier.
Re: Hawks Pre-Draft Block
Saying Drysdale isn't a top 5 pick is just, like, your opinion, man.

Impossible to declare that at the draft, which is why sometimes taking for need is a good idea. Many scouts have different tiers, and we all know that scouting isn't a perfect science.CasperX22 wroteCOLONAnd that's how those GM's get fired in real life too. It's not, but sometimes it's obvious and in this case it is.

Most scouts disagree with you then.CasperX22 wroteCOLONIt's not, but sometimes it's obvious and in this case it is.
