Sven Baertschi - he is in the minors in Vancouver due to the team's cap crunch and a bigish cap hit (3.36m) but given the upcoming season is the last year of the contract a team probably takes it on midseason for some offensive help (he paced approx 40 points a year each of the last few seasons) and then after That he should sign a cheaper contract + more spots due to expansion. This could be a good cheap pickup for a mid pick that has a pretty good chance of paying off fairly well.
Will add other pieces later.

Invested a 4th 2017 to trade for hathaway. Once he got into form was able to flip him for a good return. I don't think any bbkl 4th rounders from 2017 have made the nhl on my quick scan. Baertschi available for a 2020 4th to first person to post.

Re: Anaheim Off Season Block
I signed Hathaway for nothing and turned him into a 4th. He played 26 games that year then became valuable and was worth a 1st.
Now offering Blandisi who I signed for nothing and played 21 games last year for a 4th. He is on the cusp of turning into a valuable W who hits and PKs.
Dont miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to get a future 1st at the low low cost of only a 4th today!!

Baertschi has had multiple 40 point pace seasons and is only 27. The canucks screwed up their cap with big overblown deals which landed both Erikson and baertschi in the minors for periods of time. And I'm not saying baertschi will ever net someone a 1st, but he will likely get a cheap contract after this year and be in someones middle 6 again, and could get someone a 2nd or 3rd + 4th. He was one of the better scorers in the AHL while there this year. Taking a 50/50 bet to double your value or even 20% is a lot better bet than picking with a 4th rounder where the odds are like 5% you will get an nhl player.Bruyns wroteCOLONI signed Hathaway for nothing and turned him into a 4th. I was only poking fun since it came across as bragging about the Hathaway deal. You know I've always held the stance picks are overrated by the vast majority of GMs.Matthew wroteCOLONBaertschi has had multiple 40 point pace seasons and is only 27.
