Get out of that Minny system just in tiiiiime. Ahl goalie of the year Kahkonen is coming!!!!!
But ignoring that, Mik gets rid of a ton of cap and puts together his 2 young nyr goalie system on Super cheap contracts. And da hawks gets two pretty good NHLers for relatively cheap, while pretty much guaranteeing himself goalie gp.

If Stutzel plays next year, I should hit gp without too much problem.

interesting concept for kyuss to burn a recently selected 1st rd draft pick in order to save cap in the long run. I suppose in the end it is he'll of a lot better than trading the actual unselected 1st rd pick.
wallmarks role is probably one of the biggest in making this trade possible as the trade chip.
we know chi probably wasn't gonna deal 2021 1st CHI involving this (and I fully believe kyuss certainly probably tried to get it involved)

Who or where is this recent 1st round draft pick you speak of? Kimmer day drunk?

Yeah, I don't get that take either. Help us out, Paul.
Move makes sense for both teams...I dig it.

I see...understood, Paul.
The good thing for Mark, he still hangs onto Lundqvist so at worst, he's a big chunk of salary to hang onto for another season. There's fewer and fewer of those "dead money" players left in the NHL. Franzen's deal finally expires for the Red Wings.

Dubnyk still has one more year on his contract, might still rebound. Seems early to peg Kahkonen as future Wild's starter

well first we need to see if Georgiev stays in NY and what he signs for..
Matthew wroteCOLONAnd da hawks gets two pretty good NHLers for relatively cheap, while pretty much guaranteeing himself goalie gp.
yeah much better to address the gp issues by getting players like Wallmark and Brodin that are not a short term fix.
Brodin is a long time favorite of mine, his best contribution is probably yet to come and should stay in the league for another decade... just a victim of the numbers game on my team, he is due for a new contract next season and with the cap staying flat I figured I'd lose him at that point anyway.
Getting Mukhamadullin at #72 (along with CHI 2nd 2021) made losing him and this deal overall a bit more palatable.
Wallmark is not going to be waiver exempt anymore, unfortunately, so that made him trade bait

Condition has been taken care with yesterday's signing.
So the deal now looks like this:
To Chicago
Wallmark
Brodin
Dubnyk
Stalock
4th NSH 2021
To Nashville
Georgiev
Mukhamadullin (pick 72)
Knazko (pick 120, through this

2nd CHI 2021
Jealous of the contract Wallmark recently signed, btw
