PLAYERS ELIGIBLE FOR SLIDE:
- 18 and 19 years old players (i.e. not turned yet 20 yet) as of October 1st who have not played 10 NHL games in their career yet.
- players with 0 NHL games that get signed during the season

*NOTE -- All players listed under "SLIDING CONTRACTS" on your weekly sheet do not count towards your team contract and aren't eligible to be used in your active roster.

A change from previous seasons, you must declare which sliding contract you want to use towards your active roster. All sliding contracts will not count towards your contracts unless you choose to play them.

When you "activate" a sliding contract, their waiver status will change from sliding (the blue S symbol) to waiver exempt (the purple down arrow). That player will count towards your contracts and is eligible for your lineup for the balance of the season.

You can't "activate" a sliding contract if you're currently at 50-or-more contracts.

Okay, that's 0 for 2 on teams not knowing how this works.

If have a player with the S in a blue circle and they appear in the "SLIDING CONTRACTS" area of your sheet (starting in cell A40), those are the players who don't count towards your 50 contracts.

If you want to use them in your lineup this season, you post here that you want to "activate" the player and I'll change their status to a waiver exempt player and their contract will towards your total.

You don't have to post who you're sliding...it already does that in Google.

Please activate L’Heureux and Ecklund’s sliding contracts.

Not entirely sure how this works but...

I've called up Dawson Mercer and Cole Sillinger which should remove the "sliding" designation and should now count against my contract count.
