I can't really remember having an impact player in any previous junior tournaments as a prospect of mine. If I'm picking early, I'm usually getting guys that go right to the NHL. Or I'll get the occasional depth forward on Team USA like Moynihan last year or Shane Pinto or Riley Barber.

Caught some of the action on NHL Network over the weekend...it's been fun to watch. I want to catch the games tonight but hopefully we've got a little NHL action as well.

...and USA-Switzerland is postponed.

Helluva a 4-pack of games today...all the powers are (hopefully) in action. With the forfeit for Team USA, winning games against Sweden and Russia becomes a little more important...at least for seeding.

...and the tournament is cancelled.

I've been really careful but it is getting ridiculous.
Beginning to think fuck it...lets just roll the dice

Honestly, who are they protecting by cancelling this? It's a frustrating time right now.

I've had my two shots and I'll eventually get my booster. It doesn't guarantee I won't get it and/or get sick. It would be nice if someone would just pick a lane...we're trying to protect those who are vulnerable but who are they? My wife has been positive for over a month...I didn't catch it and my 3 year old has a runny nose and a cough. If this is all this is when it gets near me or my wife and son...I'm not concerned for us. I'm sure not all people will be so lucky if they get it. I'm still confused at what this is and why the entire world needs to be locked down for a very small percentage of those most at risk.

We can probably count on one hand the number serious cases involving pro athletes. If any of them get it...is it necessary to even take them out of action for an extended amount of time? Again, what are we protecting these athletes from? Sometimes being safe goes overboard. Was this tournament only going to happen if no one caught it?
