GDT - Week 12
PostedCOLON Mon Jan 03, 2022 12:23 am
This season has been the closest at the top of the league since I joined way back in 2013. Where most years we see at most 2 or 3 teams still realistically fighting for that top spot this late in the season, this year there could still be as many as TEN teams that could make a push in the last half of the year and take down that big ol' BBKL Presidents Trophy. We've seen many of the over-abundance of rebuilders turn a corner in the past year or two and become top teams, making the league more competitive.
Here is a look at the Top 16 teams:
1) Dallas - 463
2) Buffalo - 448
3) Philadelphia - 443.5
4) Vancouver - 441.5
5) Anaheim - 426.5
6) Minnesota - 412
7) Edmonton - 409.5
8) Nashville - 407
9) Colorado - 406.5
10) Toronto - 406
11) Calgary - 390.5
12) Pittsburgh - 390.5
13) Washington - 371.5
14) Florida - 371.5
15) New Jersey - 361
16) Tampa Bay - 358
------------------------------------------------------------------
BBKL has a group of 5 teams extremely close to the Top 16 that could easily sneak into the playoffs with just a couple tweaks or returning injured players!
17) Los Angeles - 356
18) Ottawa - 354.5
19) Seattle - 339
20) Arizona - 334.5
21) St Louis - 332.5
The Next 3 teams still have a shot, but will likely need to make the decision whether to make a big run for the playoffs which may mean making a sexy acquisition... or making the difficult decision to call this year a rebuild and shedding a few guys for futures!
22) Columbus - 296.5
23) San Jose - 296.5
24) Montreal - 287.5
These teams are all officially rebuilding and what a race it will be to grab one of those great young players at the top of this years deep draft...which includes a number of centermen. Shane Wright, Brad Lambert, Matthew Savoie, Logan Cooley, Seamus Casey, Juraj Slafkovsky, Conor Geekie, Joakim Kemell...There's enough for everybody!
25) Detroit - 257
26) Boston - 232
27) Carolina - 230.5
28) Winnipeg - 210
29) New York R. - 196.5
30) Vegas - 186.5
31) New York I. - 183
32) Chicago - 169
Happy New Years! Goodluck this week Boys!
