i gave kole lind up for a 4th rounder because i have quite a few good prospects i need to shed. Im sure the same thing will happen with some of the guys i move this year for cheap.

this is a fair deal. just shows how rebuilders can overbuild to the point they need to move quality guys because theyve pointlessly added beyond what the rules allow them to keep.

This offseason got a lot more interesting than I would've imagined.

I'm all about "roster flexibility". I've got way too many wingers so look for a block very soon where I'm going shop some of these guys. I still want to wait for free agency to start.

It's all about opportunity. Having extra picks has made this a more active (and productive) offseason.

I've looked at my last several years and seeing how little I've gotten back in trading my 1st and 2nd round picks. I know damn well I am capable of drafting well enough to get someone who can help me down the road. I'd rather fit Gauthier, McGroarty and Beck into my lineup when they're NHL ready instead of coughing up futures to get guys past their prime.

Meanwhile, Atkinson and Marchessault are certainly veteran age but still productive and I'm sure another team would be interested if I moved them. Or, I just keep them and those are guys I would think are steady roster guys for a while.

As nice as it is to see Shoalzie getting some wins, this is gross.

This is what happens when good teams have no cap and the majority of rebuilders are content being bad and flirting with missing GP. I don’t even know if it’s good for parity if teams don’t try and add players. Most prospects won’t pan out and teams will never improve.

My team, then Will’s then Matthew’s have all gone from the bottom of the standings to the top by trading futures for players. It can be done and I feel it’s easier than ever right now with how overvalued picks have become.

My problem is lack of depth (67 players total) that I've been slowly trying to increase, not easy though

I hear you Dave, can’t add when you don’t have assets to spend. You routinely trade for players, others not so much.

I still have to hit GP. It's a balancing act
