It's with a heavy heart that the Montreal Canadiens announce the trade of their team Captain and longest tenured player. Zach was acquired in 2013 in a trade along with Lee Stempniak and Magnus Nygren in exchange for Nikolai Kulemin, Tyler Myers, Chad Larose and an exchange of 2013 draft picks. We thank Zach for his efforts with the Canadiens both as a contender and also as a leader during the current rebuild. We wish him all the best with the Chicago Blackhawks organization moving forward.
