GDT Week 4

Is Erik Karlsson good again?
Honestly, he's pretty good in San Jose but it looks he's going to easily surpass his high-water mark in goals as a Shark. Injuries have always been an issue and obviously his peak years were in Ottawa. It is cool to see veteran players turn back the clock.

In some close matchups again this week. Absolutely annihilating some of these teams offensively but they are in the matchups cause I have shit shtoi and my goalies haven’t been the best. Also have some injuries which isn’t helping. This is the beauty of having fantasy leagues that being periphs into play tho I guess
Still not too upset considering I only blew this bitch up a 2.5 years ago or so.

He's also got Swayman. Problem with the Boston situation is with a new coach in place and Ullmark playing well, Montgomery isn't obligated to play Swayman when his numbers aren't good right now.
Georgiev is the new guy in town in Denver is playing better than Francouz...of course Bednar will stick with him.
There were some teams who were platooning goalies but I think if one guys has been much better than the other, they'll let the play on the ice determine who is #1. No doubt that Husso is the #1 in Detroit after he and Nedeljkovic traded starts at the beginning.
Speaking of goalies...good time for Cam Talbot to return and play pretty well in his first appearances when Forsberg's numbers haven't been great. I didn't except the Senators to be in last place without Talbot but I'm sure he'll help now that he's back.
Scoring seems to be up right now. Only 12 teams are allowing less than 3 goals a game and there's currently 4 teams allowing 4 or more goals a game. I also wonder how many empty net goals there are compared to normal. Buffalo has 7 ENG so far when the top team total last year was 22. They're currently on pace for 47 but we all know how the Sabres fall off after good starts. They have a losing trend they need to snap out of.
I do find it interesting that 6 of top 8 teams in points percentage...all have new coaches.

Nice results against some solid teams this week. First good start in my history in BBKL, and it's a long one lol

Long time coming for you, Mik...you've always had one of the more talented rosters. Your prospect depth will probably never be matched.
You're going to have some interesting decisions to make with your goaltending as the season rolls on.

My team has a pretty good-ish record so far but I actually dropped a few spots in the standings this week. The term I used a couple years was I wanted to win or lose "organically". It's very difficult to strip a team completely down where you aren't forced to spend assets each offseason to keep a functional roster while hoping you get lucky with the lottery. I've got a few players on my team off to nice starts that I'd like to move out for downgrades and futures.

Had another decent week myself with a couple really close matchups. Shoalzie and I had a doozy for instance

It was very strange that my team had its weakest offensive week but I still hung in some playoff-worthy teams like yourself. Wedgewood had a strong week with his extra starts...just in time for Talbot to return.

Ya the metro is shaping up to be quite competitive this year. Not sure we have anyone who is gonna challenge for the cup at the moment but definitely should be tight playoff race with likely 4-5 playoff teams from the division.
