Retaining half of Hyman's cap hit this year ($5)

Senators Trade
Saku Maenalanen RW WPG $4 / UDA
2024 1st round pick (OTT)
2025 1st round pick (OTT)
2023 2nd round pick (OTT)
2024 2nd round pick (OTT)
Kevin Korchinski D CHI prospect


Ottawa is currently on the bubble for the playoff, rank 19 in our standing.

Bu the way Ottawa are 5 in their Division and 10 in the East. Ottawa also forgot to extend Pasternak, so he’ll lose him after this season.

Wild win this easily

If sens were a top 7-8 team and making a push to win it all it makes sense but if these are both non playoff teams at the moment then wild win it. A 7th overall + two lotto 1sts + two. 2nds is a lot to pay

And on top of that we only have one extension per year. So those two are pretty much rental for a none playoff or at best a bubble team. Minny is winning by a landslide without involving kevin.

My question is this deal vetoable? I want to make clear I’m LA in that league but I felt if this deal was made during the off season then it’s might be ok but now it just seem silly.

Seems like a silly deal.

Hard to judge trades when you don't know rules, scoring and how other trades go down in a league. In this league that's WAAYYY too much for Hyman and Danault.

Is the senators GM drunk?
