Howard is prob going to be staying in Detroit for awhile, so that being said shiv, good deal man, nothing wrong with that, Osgoode looked like a gem because Detroit is that good, not to take anything from Howard, he is good and going to get better imo

Howards another year at sub 1 million too. Going to put up more wins and as good stats as Lundqvist IMO. Shiv just saved a bunch of cap, hes making a run for it this year.

lol theres NO WAY i robbed Buffalo. A bonafide 70+ starts 35+ wins 2.3 gaa 0.920 sv% for at LEAST the next 7 years(huge understatement btw) is what i traded. I got a goalie who is good for now yes. but what if howard pulls a mason? or price? or theodore? or lehtonen? the list keeps going of one hit wonders. now i dont think howard is a one hit wonder. but the gap between him and lundqvist is huge.

what this deal does let me do though, is keep the twins, datsyuk, and the rest of my roster together. so to me the question wasn't "who is better lundqvist or howard + poni" because the answer to that imo is Lundqvist HANDS DOWN. But the question to me was: What's better for my team, Losing one of the Sedins/Datsyuk but keeping Lundqvist OR Keeping all three and getting Howard. I chose the 2nd. I dont know at all if i was right to still. theres no way to say if i made the right decision. But if you look at the trade in isolation, Buffalo won this deal FOR SURE.

Product of your team, in fantasy terms means the same thing as bonafide stud when talking about goalies, just thorwing that out there.

He had a stellar save percentage, and single handely kept his team in it this regular season.
Osgood is the product of a team, and did shit in most regular seasons too.
Howards a great goalie, shiv saved cap and kept his team together. He wins it easy, for next year anyway. After that, we'll see.
