Your not a last place team. The draft is shallow this year compared to last. And you got Mikko Koivu. Think before you assume.

i assumed you were talkin picks in general.. plus, the more time goes by, the more this draft is looking fairly good to me.

Yup well in all honesty... it's going to take a pretty massive offer to take the pick away from me.

This is, of course, if I meet the GP requirements I should be out of dead last this week and then it's a matter of hoping that LeClaire can 1) stay healthy 2) win back the starters role.

Now that you have Koivu, you will start climbing. He is a stud. It was a good return.

I agree...don't outsmart yourself after making some nice deals. You've potentially got a big chip to use and if you were to do it...and I'm with the others...don't do it until we get closer to the draft. You'll get maximum value when it's the offseason and everyone isn't so married to their current roster and teams are willing to shake things up. Right now, no one is really going to give up a player that's going to help them win at the cost of draft pick. The top teams in the league might get into the bidding in the offseason and they've got clearly the most pieces to spend. If you do it during the season, the list of potential "clients" is a lot smaller. I think most of us would love to get the #1 pick but not everyone that would want it could make that kind of a deal now. Draft picks are most valuable in the spring.

If you look at what Nick has given up the past 2 years for the 1st overall pick, you'll see. Find the trades, it's nuts.

If you keep it until draft day, you'll get a kings ransom.

your better off waitting since if we improve your team too much it won't be a 1st anymore. SO for now I think no one should even think of giving you a proposal since we don't even know it will be a top 3 pick.

not true anymore. If elliot can keep up playing well he could win the goaltender stats then if he get s some other stats wise he could get up to arround 4 to 6 pts easy per week. So for now it s better off not making a deal for is 1st.

not true anymore. If elliot can keep up playing well he could win the goaltender stats then if he get s some other stats wise he could get up to arround 4 to 6 pts easy per week. So for now it s better off not making a deal for is 1st.

4 points means you win every goalie cat...Tim Thomas is the only goalie in the NHL capable of doing that, and even he will have a rough patch here and there. Philly is way too far back and short on NHL talent to finish outside of the bottom 3.
