It's fun to watch the arms race with the contenders. Team A goes out and gets a piece...Team B gets an even bigger piece.

It's hard to equate the value he got for Toews in the Koivu trade to this deal since so many pieces were involved but it looks like Scott did alright. As he puts it, he's able to overpay because he can.

Good deal for the Islanders...a nice return. It's maybe not as good as having Koivu before he got Toews originally but he's got multiple pieces that should help him going forward.

100% why I did the deal. Didn't affect my roster, Adams does what Poni does minus a few points and I had too many Caps anyway. Really liking the team now!

I'm with Kareem here. Not that he'll be the guy to end the streak.. but to suggest Scott's team is in a different league then many of the others is simply incorrect, if you don't think your team can put up a battle versus his then you should be making changes.

I agree that s why Dallas are making alot of changes. We want to be a competitvie team. ANd NJ doesn t scears me. If I want toe to toe with LA and having all my player injured. I like my odds in the future. I say for now I putt myself at 144/1 so for now i m out but later on I could become a 1/15 and even 1/8 but not now but soon.
