i'm a big fan of yips. colborne is buried in BOS. and i couldve used some help this year. but that does not mean i don't see where you're coming from.

Talk about buried
Just tell me where you see him fitting
Galiardi Stastny Stewart
Flash Duchene Hejduk
Winnik O'Reilly Jones
Yip/Dupuis/Porter/McCloed/Mauldin
and that doesnt even include if Mueller ever comes back.

I think what Billy is trying to say is that you lost this deal.

your analysis makes complete sense. everything you said i did consider before making the deal. if i saw this trade made by two other parties id side with the team receiving colborne as well. but even though value wise i lost it was the right deal for my team at this time. i could be wrong though.

Colborne is no less buried than Yip, who is atleast in the NHL, and producing.

With the departure of Ryder, wheeler, etc. Boston may lok to bring up a few more guys and Colborne should be at the top of the list along with Caron. I want a Caron, Seguin, Colborne line next season.

i just dont think colorado is done making moves. yip will get 12-15 minutes of ice time regardless of what happens imo. and for the next few weeks with all these injuries he will get a lot more.

I'll echo this take...Colborne appears to be a horse in the making. Yeah, Shiv got a solid return but Tony gets the best piece in the deal and continues to add to his growing group of young players. Shiv does have a rumplestiltskin-like way of turning a pile of straw into gold so you can't say he screwed up until you see what he does next. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

I fail to see how this is a bad trade for Shiv?
adding depth for any playoff team is important
