I fucking hated this deal, even rejected it at first, but the combination of Stamkos and MSL for the next two seasons was too good to pass up.

some might call me crazy but I love this for Kareem. MSL is amazing and Henrique is way better than Macfarland imo. Verrrry fair trade though dont get me wrong. Kessel could turn out to be amazing for years to come, I just see this improving kareem so much that a potential loss for a current clear win is definatly worth it.

100% agree with this statement

imo its a clear win for kareem. if steve was rebuilding id say win-win. but given that both are competing, i think steve made a huge mistake. MSL helps him win way more than Kessel this year.

Only reason i can make this deal is cause i'm in the west

If i was in the east and had to compete with the big 4 there is ZERO chance i do this. This is how i broke this deal down, Kessel is 12 years younger, I really only have 2 teams in the west to worry about. As long as i don't get upset i'll probably make it to the west final and have to play 1 of those teams.

If i can beat them i only have to worry about 1 of the big 4 in the East...and a big week from my guys could compete with any of the big 4 (i know im not as good, but i'm not so far behind i couldn't at least give them a go)

So i made the deal....Kareem gets stronger, i get younger and can still compete....

Love that deal for Kareem...St. Louis is up there in age but he's still an offensive ace plus he'll kill the odd penalty as well. He's had some good linemates in his Tampa days but that doesn't take away from him as a player. I've never been all that enamored by Kessel. He's a good scorer and high-volume shooter but he's on a bad team (a minus player) and he doesn't get his nose dirty (next to no hits and rarely kills penalties and finds himself in front of the odd shot here and there).

Wow, Kareem just became UBER-LEET. Kessel is tainted goods and this all but guarantees Kareem is in the mix for the title, the next 2-3 years. Well worth it.
