NHL released it's schedule and Winnipeg is playing Washington 6 times. So the NHL is putting them in the Southeast? How does that make sense?

They're taking over for Atlanta.. who were in the Southeast. It's only for a year and then they re-align the divisions.

The Winnipeg NHL club is expected to name its team just prior to making the 7th overall pick during tonight's Entry Draft

that is pretty cool. will they give their new jersey with the #11 on it to their selection as well?

Not a chance IMO.
There is no way they'd have their jersey/logo set yet. There are still rumbles that they may not reveal their team name. But with the number of people watching, not sure why they wouldn't.

This is how I think it happens. They announce the team name as the Winnipeg Jets. Give their pick their retro jersey with the #11. And then reveal the new design later in the summer.

Fucking rights. I love the jets name and logo. Give the people of manitoba what they want and that is the Jets back.
