this deal is a good deal in the value sense. I personally don't understand why kareem does this though. beyond that, he takes neuvy and two awesome prospects and turns it into CGY 1st. Backes + Ellis + Puempel for Johanssen + 1st CGY 2012? it does not add up at all.

Ellis is meh, Puempel is decent but really didn't improve much over the course of this year and he didn't impress me too much tbh. Backes is a beast but imo, Johanssonj has the opportunity to be twice the player.. then factor in a beast prospect on top.. Kareem made a very good trade. Bought 2 future superstars (bold I know, but I honestly feel those 2 pieces will be) at probably their lowest BBKL values.. only smart GMs make these trades.

It will be next to impossible to get the current group out of the bottom 7 without compromising his future, I certainly couldn't do it.
