you changed Arnott, JVR, Howard, Macdonald into Roy, St. Louis, Brodeur, Hedberg
you gave up a bunch of futures, but your team is significantly better off i'd say.

Giving the edge to CLB for the immediate offensive help he's getting. Pretty even if you consider Shiv in contention with his current roster + DET tandem. Brodeur isn't completely finished

Honestly reliant that Brodeur keeps it together for 1-2 more years at least.

Ya, don't know how Grabovski + Lupul + one of Kaberle/McBain for D.Sedin + Stajan couldn't be doable at this point

I'm a builder.. so I like the deal for Shiv over the long term. Howard + JVR for a goalie who will be retired after this season, a 36 year old superstar and I like Derek Roy.
But we all know that all of these players ( that went to Shiv) will be traded within a week.

Bcools: Just trade those pieces to another contender before the end of the playoffs if you don't think you'll win it this year
