It's tough to make "hockey trades" when I'm trying to get back over the salary floor and get games played.

Yeah him in WSH should be interesting, hard to give him up but Peverley @ 1.325mil is huge for me considering I was borderline over the ceiling with Hansen & Schneider yet to sign.

Over-trading in a league like this is detrimental. Looking back, I should've held onto a few more guys knowing full well that not having my 1st round picks for a couple years wouldn't do me any favors. I made it a lot harder for myself than it needed to be. In other kinds of leagues, you can get away with selling off some older players for younger players but then have the ability to back fill next year IN THE DRAFT or add players IN FREE AGENCY. I've got to treat this like we're in the old school yard trading baseball cards. You trade what you have but you don't have money to go buy more. You have to keep some guys or you're going to bottom out and have a miserable year watching teams run laps around you. Someone is going to finish last in our league and still might be me...I just don't want to be a total pushover. This begins the slow climb back up to being a respectable team.
