Dallas/Detroit - Compensation

Earlier this season Dallas traded FLA 2010 4th Rounder to Detroit, a pick he didn't own due to NJD double trading it (second time to Dallas). New Jersey was fined a 4th, and asked to give it to Dallas, but the previous Dallas owner still re-traded the 4th Rounder (FLA) to Detroit. Unfortunately I just learned of that move today.
To Detroit:
Ethan Moreau
Jere Lehtinen
Ville Koistinen
Nick Dodge
2010 4th Rounder (FLA)
2010 3rd Round Dispersal Draft (DAL)
To Dallas:
Ryan Smyth
2011 1st Rounder (DET)
As a result, Dallas owes Detroit CBJ 4th Rounder in 2010

That 4th round pick pick was later traded to Atlanta as part of the Hartnell/Doan trade. Give that pick to the Thrashers...

So, you're saying I get the Columbus pick too? I was just wondering if I traded the wrong pick to Atlanta.

No, your predecessor traded for the CBJ pick twice (even though he owned it), thats why you get the compensation (FLA 4th). CBJ 4th still belongs to ATL.
