I don't think people realize just how physical Berglund can be...

as long as it shows up on the stat sheet Chris. I don't know what bergs periphs are though so I cant comment on that directly.

Never said I won.. but when you get the best player, you pay up. Backes dominates anyone in this deal and Rene is a well rounded kid as well. Clowe doesn't PK although his h2h stats are solid and Berglund should be stuck behind Backes in the depth chart for a while..

I think I paid very fair value for a top 10 forward.

No doubt that Backes is the best player in this - but Berglund's got some super upside. He finally broke out last year, and it stands to reason he'll continue his upward trajectory from here on out. And he's what? 23?

i agree with what you say except backes really is not that much better than clowe. billy recovers FOW with berglund. the only category you win is SHTOI. Bourque compared to Berglund is a joke in comparison.

I lose Shtoi in this deal pretty big.
but Adding Roman Polak+Jay McClement should help that quite a bit

That being said good deal for both sides imo, i wouldnt say either of us win in a landslide unless Joe Morrow explodes.

It's already been discussed that clowe is good, but he's not backes, that's a silly comment to make Shiv, especially 2 days after Shook laid it out so cleanly.

It's not just a little better, it's better at almost everything, in amount that is a lesser forward.

The difference between Clowe and Backes is significantly lower than the difference between Berglund and Bourque. Backes is obviously better. This thread is just another example of BBKL's inability to say that Scott lost a trade. Billy came out ahead here for sure. It's not a bad trade by Scott. But Billy got more value.
