I'm not going to lie, this could end up real nice for Hong is Smith does what most Hawks from the boards and what I think he might be able to. A nice bonus would be if he plays some center on occasion and he could get some draws as a winger. He'll play anywhere between the 2nd and 4th line...really was a solid guy in the postseason (3 goals in the series against the Canucks). Since Hong was one of the few that did his homework on him and he's been on his trail for a few months...I figured I'd at least try to make it worth my while. Hong is a good egg...I hope Smith does well for him.

And I feel good to have drafted a guy like him in the waiver draft (2nd round pick, I think) and that he's showing enough promise that I can turn a profit. There's always the risk of selling too early and if he performs, there's a larger demand. I mentioned to Hong...I acknowledge that I sold on Bickell too early last year and didn't get nearly as much as I could've gotten. I hope this doesn't happen with Smith but given some of my luck, it wouldn't surprise me.
