I know I'm crazy for doing the deal but this give me a BBKL stud. Look up at the stats of Nick schultz and tell me I'm crazy. By the way this help my cap situation. I'm now at arround 60M with that deal.

Nick schultz is a mediocre H2H defenseman.
BS and shtoi is all he does. Neither at an elite level.

difference is you actively set out to make your team better
that roster + shoalzie's sit back and do nothing approach = not salvageable

The difference is desire, not that it can't be done. Give me a year with DET and it will be out of the basement, at the very worst.
