Love the deal for XchuckX, AK needs a trade to have value again, MacLean had found such a trade.

I like it for chuck as well. AK is under valued in this league because he is such a plug in real life but h2h he is pretty decent. Just like Latendresse, anyone see last nights game? Horrible showing, I bet he didnt break a sweat.

Well, his h2h numbers might not show up yet, but the guys play is top top end. One of the most complete dmen in the game IMO.

Coburn is an odd case offensively, he has seen declining point totals the last 4 seasons despite an increase in gp over the same span.

Only guys like Scott understands a trade like this

Can't disagree with his NHL level game. But his stats are so overrated in this league.

Niskanen certainly seems to have new value in the BBKL....the fact he has any is amazing.

Say what you will about Niskanen but he does have untapped potential. 30 points isn't out of the question with some decent periphs which IMO makes him comparable to Coburn especially when you take cap into consideration. I'd also go as far as to say that with Kostitsyn there are really only two possibilities. either he rebound OR Montreal will trade him to a team where he will like his brother.

Chris, Kostitsyn's rep is common knowledge. Those of us who like the deal for Chuck think so despite that.

Overall I prefer Coburn but with Brian Lee's coming out this year; he will put up similar stats for less than 1/3 of the salary. I like Niskanen for a breakout this year; he just needed a change in scenery IMO. Coburn became expendable and I landed a substantial upgrade on Winnik.

As for AK yes he is the retard, but you can't argue when the guy wants to he produces. He's a consistent 20 goal scorer every year and led the team in hits last year. With Cammy down for 2 weeks he's now bumped up into the top 6 again; and will be bumped into the top 6 whenever an injury happens....which is usally often with the Habs

The MacLean/Joslin part was basically for me to land a 3rd rounder to pay off my roster submission fine.
