Shiv kills? What? I think Hossa for Pronger and Ward seems decent and, Sheahan for a meh 1st rounder is alright.. I definitely do not see murder anywhere near this trade through and through.

Unless Shiv finds a taker for Pronger -- and I'm sure he will -- I'm just not sold on that he'll turn a good cycle since Pronger's clearly declining from an overall perspective. No longer physical, skating's slowed down a bit, but he's an elite BBKL so far, so that helps. But I like it for Shiv too. I never felt that he was going to tank, and I think this trade somewhat proves that he can't stay patient enough to tank lol

I've been listening to some of the offers being thrown around for Pronger when approached for my opinion, and I feel you're overselling what you just got by calling him the best H2H defenseman and will be for the next 4 years.
